Volunteer
The Volunteer Program supports the services provided by "Get A Life..." Volunteers are an integral part of the organization and make significant contributions to achieving our mission. Orientation and training are provided for all volunteers.
Our greatest Needs are for:
- Office Assistant to organize, sort, file or collate materials, tabulate surveys, answer phones, and greet visitors; to trace, cut, paste or make simple materials for art projects.
- Handy Person to make minor repairs to the building.
- Grounds Person to tend lawns, bushes and flowers during warm months.
Volunteers add significant value to our services for young children, their parents and childcare providers. We match volunteers' interests with our needs and use the time and talents of volunteers to support the development of young children.
Create your own volunteer group! GAL is fortunate enough to work with a variety of groups throughout the year. These groups take on projects ranging in size and scale from helping in our child care center to organizing fundraising events. Have an idea? Let us know!
