Parental Involvement
Our foundation is all about Parental involvement. At Get A Life we promote parents involvement with their children and it is a requirement for each parent to volunteer a specific amount of time to their child's growth.
Our Early Child Care and Education program provides low cost, quality care to children from families facing health crisis as well as parents facing all types of family crisis. The GAL Center serves children ranging in age from infant to five years old and is open Monday though Friday 7:30 to 5:30. Parents can be involved in the childcare center as teachers' aides. Responsibilities include reading to the children, being a mentor, helping with arts and crafts, meals and circle time. Parents are welcome 8:30am - 12:30pm and 3:00pm - 5:30pm. Some weekend and evening shifts are available. Other opportunities are available on a seasonal basis. If you have a talent you would like to share (Art, Music, Dance), Please contact us
We also promote parents helping other parents who are going through health issues and other difficult times by cooking a meal , running an errand or maybe even developing group baby sitting plans with families they trust.
