Our Story
Jade Stanford is a wife and mother of two children with a background in Early Child Development. She is the founder of the Los Angeles based "Get A Life... Childcare & Foundation". After losing several loved ones to AIDS she began volunteering for Caring For Babies with AIDS in Los Angeles. There her passion grew for helping children with families that had special needs. A few years later when living in Bangkok, Thailand she had an incredible opportunity to work with children again at a Thai home for babies with AIDS Seeing how the disease was spreading rapidly due to lack of education, she started a program with her husbands clothing company that taught the Thai people about safe sex and AIDS This program enabled her to start handing out free condoms to the poor, which was unheard of in Thailand at the time.
After much travel, she and her husband Robbie settled down on the East coast to start a family and had their first child. When their daughter Sydney was six months old Robbie was diagnosed with Leukemia. Because his Leukemia "CLL" (Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia) was found during a routine physical & Robbie had no "sign" of illness the doctors told him to "hold off on Chemotherapy until he got sick and live life as usual". They then spent over a year in China exploring alternative solutions.
